Even though Northern Europe is 12 hours flying time from South Africa the trip is fairly “hassle free”. Most departures are in the evening with arrivals in the morning after, which gives one the whole day on arrival to enjoy. Time is only 2 hours ahead of GMT, which eliminates jet lag and allows one to do activities upon the day of arrival.
